During her year withSo Fare, Sofia held roles across productions: Post-Production Assistant on, Second Assistant Director on, Director of Photography and Editor onRamona Romana, and Content Creator for an educational film series. This hands-on environment sharpened her technical skills, creative instincts, and understanding of professional production rhythms.
AUR’s Film program - anchored in Rome’s cinematic pulse - equipped her with theory, mentorship, and a creative community of peers. That foundation enabled her to maximize opportunities like ECN. As she reflected, the internship“taught me the value of teamwork and how to give and receive feedback”while sparking her passion for producing.
Sofia’s films quickly gained recognition.earned awards for cinematography, song, and score at the2023 European Cinematography Awardsand was a finalist at theStudent Los Angeles Film Awards. Her capstone,, continued her momentum, earning recognition at theMediterraneo Festival Cortoand thePrisma Rome Independent Film Awards.
Her journey underscores the power of combining strong academic foundations with experiential learning. At AUR, Sofia gained confidence and mentorship; throughSo Fare, she applied her skills in professional settings. The result: a graduate stepping into an MFA program with the vision and drive of an artist in motion.
